United Way of the Plains Q2 Impact Newsletter

Organized labor and United Way are celebrating 80 years of partnership this year!
Together, we are transforming lives in our community by uniting to fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in south-central Kansas.
Every year, union members contribute time, skills, and money to improve the lives of our neighbors. Together, we are an unstoppable force for good. We’ve attached the United Way of the Plains Quarterly Newsletter and Impact Statement for Q2 #LiveUnited

Flags of Freedom – United Way of the Plains

To honor, celebrate and remember veterans this Memorial Day, your United Way is inviting the community to be part of “Flags of Freedom,” a grand, two-week display of American flags. The IAM District Lodge #70 field at I-235 and S. Meridian Ave. will be transformed into a sea of red, white and blue from Sunday, May 16, to Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, to recognize those who have served our country.

DEDICATE A FLAG

Dedicate a flag in honor or memory of a service member for just $30. United Way will run all names and branches of service in a full page ad in the Wichita Eagle on Sunday, May 30. Your gift will support United Way’s work to address the needs of our neighbors, including veterans, in the areas of health, education and financial stability.

Purchase a dedication by Friday, May 14, to be included in the ad. To dedicate a flag or to donate online, go to https://bit.ly/3notRT3
