Textron Aviation is growing its apprenticeship opportunities with an Avionics Technician Apprenticeship and a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining Apprenticeship. The new positions build on the company’s established collaborative apprenticeship program to address long-term production and tooling requirements for Textron Aviation’s aircraft programs. The robust two-year program will run from August 2022 to August 2024 and includes factory training at Textron Aviation facilities and classroom training through WSU Tech for a well-rounded learning experience. As Textron Aviation employees, program participants will earn a full-time salary and benefits, and the company will also cover related tuition and fees at WSU Tech. The arrangement is a collaboration between Textron Aviation, WSU Tech, and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) to grow the skills of Textron Aviation employees and provide new opportunities throughout their careers. Applications for 2022 opportunities must be submitted by Friday, June 17.
