While we will always bargain in good faith, we encourage every bargaining unit member to begin preparing for the possibility of a strike in the next round of negotiations with Textron Aviation, scheduled for 2029. Taking proactive steps now can help ensure financial stability and peace of mind, no matter what happens.

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, members attending the general membership meeting participated in a second reading and voted on the proposed bylaw changes. The changes approved by the members were sent to the IAM’s International headquarters for review and approval. After review, the changes were accepted and returned as approved. Kansas Aviation Employee Tax Credits
Who can get the tax credit?
This income tax credit is available to individuals who have been hired by a Kansas-based employer in the aviation sector for a full-time job on or after January 1, 2022. You must also have a degree or technical certificate from a qualified program. The credit is also available to an employee relocating to Kansas with an out-of-state qualifying degree or certificate.
The Kansas Aviation Tax Credit is currently authorized for five years from 2022 to 2026.
